⚠️ Important Overview

AlwaysVigil offers a 7-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. After 7 days, subscriptions are generally non-refundable due to the nature of our service. Please review this policy carefully before subscribing.

1. Free Plan

The Free Plan is available at no cost and does not require payment. There are no refunds for the Free Plan as no payment is collected. Users may cancel their Free Plan account at any time without penalty.

2. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee (New Subscriptions)

For new paid subscriptions (Yearly or Lifetime plans), you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase if:

  • You are not satisfied with the service
  • You decide AlwaysVigil is not right for you
  • You experience technical issues that prevent service use

How to Request: Email [email protected] with your account email and reason for refund within 7 days of purchase. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.

3. No Refunds After 7 Days

After the 7-day money-back guarantee period expires, subscriptions are non-refundable for the following reasons:

  • Service Already Provided: You have access to check-in monitoring and message storage for the subscription period
  • Operational Costs: We incur costs for email delivery, server infrastructure, and database storage
  • Pro-rated Refunds Not Available: Annual subscriptions are charged upfront and cannot be refunded for partial periods

⚠️ This includes situations where you forget to respond to check-ins, change your mind about the service, or stop using AlwaysVigil mid-year.

4. NO REFUNDS After Message Delivery

If your heir messages are delivered due to missed check-ins (whether intentional or accidental), NO REFUNDS will be issued under any circumstances.

Once messages are sent, they cannot be recalled or unsent. Users are solely responsible for responding to check-in emails promptly to prevent accidental delivery.

5. Subscription Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings:

  • Immediate Effect: Cancellation prevents future renewals
  • No Refunds: Cancellation does NOT entitle you to a refund for the current subscription period
  • Access Until Expiration: You retain access to the service until the end of your current billing period
  • Data Retention: Your account data is retained for 30 days after expiration in case you reactivate

6. Automatic Renewals

Yearly subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. We send an email reminder 7 days before renewal. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal date to avoid charges.

7. Payment Failures and Retries

If a renewal payment fails: we provide a 7-day grace period to update payment information. Automatic retry attempts are made 3 times over 7 days. After grace period, your account is downgraded to the Free Plan.

8. Exceptional Circumstances (Case-by-Case Basis)

In rare cases, we may consider refunds on a case-by-case basis for: extended service outages (7+ consecutive days), billing errors (duplicate charges, incorrect amounts), or material breach of our Terms by AlwaysVigil.

To request an exception, email [email protected] with detailed explanation and supporting evidence. Approvals are at our sole discretion and are not guaranteed.

9. Chargebacks and Disputes

Please contact us BEFORE initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Accounts with disputed charges are immediately suspended. Fraudulent chargebacks result in permanent account termination.

10. How to Request a Refund (Within 7 Days)

  1. Email [email protected] from your registered account email
  2. Subject line: "Refund Request - [Your Email]"
  3. Include your account email, purchase date, and reason for refund (optional)
  4. We will process your refund within 5-10 business days
  5. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at purchase

Important: Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of your initial purchase date. Requests after this period will not be honored.
